sezon na malinki (raspberries` season)

Wreszcie!
Finally! I was almost sure that the situation with our rasberries will get a bit hairy this year. In July they didn`t have the courage to get red, and those which appeared were not tasty at all. I started to worry that the raspberries will come to nothing. However, there was a surprise.Since we got back from holiday I`ve been collecting a litre of raspberies every day. So, in this case it is really possible I will have some stores for the winter:-)

Mam oczywiście swojego małego pomocnika. Michał jest zawsze pierwszy do zbierania malin.

Of course I `ve got my private little helper. Michael is always ready when it comes to collecting raspberries.

czas na herbatkę (tea time)

A do herbatki ciasto. Pyszne.

There is nothing more pleasurable than a cup of tea on a free afternoon. And a piece of cake to go with it.  I found the recipe of this one on a great blog. I always search the net in order to find interesting recipes to be used by my mum at home parties (my birthday party this time, a bit later than ususal). This year one of the food novelties was a Rafaello cake, the recipe for which you can find at wino i oliwki blog. The preparation is really simple and does not require baking in the oven.

 A to przepis:
3  paczki dużych krakersów
1 litr mleka
1 szklanka cukru
1 szklanka mąki krupczatki
1 kostka masła
olejek śmietankowy
10 dag kokosu
 1/2 kostki margaryny
1/2 szklanki cukru

Rafaello of salted crakers:

3 packets of salted crackers
1 litre of milk
1 glass of sugar
1 glass of coarse-grained flour
1 packet of butter (200g)
creamy essence
10 dag of dried coconut
1/2 packet of margarine (100g)
1/2 glass of sugar

To make the pudding dough mix milk, sugar and course-grained flour together and boil them carefully so that it does not turn lumpy. Then cool it to the room temperature.
Blend a packet of butter, add the chilled pudding dough and make a cream of it. At the end pour a few drops of creamy essence.
To make a coconut dough put dried coconut, margarine and sugar on a frying pan and roast them until it looks golden.
Put the crackers on a big baking tin, then the pudding dough, crackers again and so on until you have 3 layers of each. On the top put the coconut dough. And the cake is ready.:-)

daleko od domu (far away from home)

Spełnił też swoje małe wielkie marzenie i odbył podróż statkiem pirackim. Dla mnie przepiękne widoki, zapach morza, dotyk słońca i smak luksusu pomogły się zrelaksować i nabrać sił przed zbliżającym się nieuchronnie nowym rokiem szkolnym.

The decision was made spontaneously. After many stressful experiences at the beginning of  July and being angry with Polish summer, which was constantly tempting us only with beautiful mornings, we went away for a week. The begining was, however,  like taken from the most horrible nightmare. On our way to the airport our car broke down and only thanks to the good-hearted man, who gave us a lift to the airport we could enjoy the hot sun at the Turkish seaside. Michael stayed in the water since morning till evening, taking a break just to have a meal. He made his little big dream come true as he took a trip on a pirate ship. For me the marvellous views, the smell od the sea, the touch of sun and the taste of luxury helped to relax and regenerate the body and soul before the inevitably coming new school year.
