Nawet książki zaniedbałam, a obiecałam sobie nadrobić latem zaległości.
I got addicted. I`m cross stitching. I got into the rhythm and I can`t stop. Luckily I`ve got summer holidays now as I constantly find myself cross stitching even at 2 a.m. Sometimes I let myself have a break. So I knit.:-) My books cry in the corner although I promised to take care of them in the summer.

I made a cusion case for Mike and something to be used as a gift so I can`t reveal the details at the moment.

lato? (summer?)
Przyszło jakoś nieśmiało. Nadal niepewne, czy chce zostać na dłużej. Lato. Wspominając swoje dzieciństwo, czerwiec i zakończenie roku to zawsze upał, całodzienne zabawy na dworze, bieganie boso po trawie, zapach maciejki wieczorami. A dziś?
Came with some shyness. Still unsure whether to stay longer or not. Summer. My childchood memories bring back those Junes and the first days of summer holidays with constant heat, staying outside all day long, running barefoot on the grass, the scent of the evening stock after the sunset. And nowadays? Perhaps it`s me who changed so much or this summer is somehow different? The weather reminds me the one in the early autumn, the evenings are cold, only my vegetable garden (a bit untended) apart from the raddish, hasn`t borne fruit yet. However, grass hasn`t given up and grows faster than my tomatoes. Luckily, at my grandma`s the season for strawberries is on.

dzień pomidora / tomato day

This year I have been very stubborn to own a real vegetable garden. Since early spring I keep flowerpots with vegetable plants on every windowsill in my house. There are mainly tomatoes:-). I don`t know how it happened but there are about 80 tomato plants. Yesterday I came to the conclusion that it`s high time I did something with them. Although they are not blooming yet, their size does not allow to keep them at home in tiny pots.. Unfortunately, the place for the vegetable patches is not ready yet. It is lacking the most crucial thing - the fence. It`s no use planting anything, apart form thistles, until the fence is ready. Our house is situated near the forest so deer and hares are our regular guests. They would eat everything so it would be pointless to plant the vegetables now. I have to wait until my husband makes the fence.... wait patiently:-)
And here are a few pics of our house, the garden and of something which is going to be a vegetable patch soon.piątek, 20 maja 2011
poduszki gotowe / cusions ready
A oto efekty mojej robótkowej weny twórczej.
I still can`t believe in it but I `ve been enjoying a long weekend since Wednesday :-). So I`m sitting at home and working hard. I`ve managed to finish two cusions which I started here and I even have time to pop into my blog again (although it`s really hard because of my ambitions concerning the eagerness to have a vegetable garden:-). And here is the outcome of my knitting creative inspiration.

Being a teacher does not only mean working with a coursebook, chalk and blackboard. At least I can sometimes run away from it all. This time far away. Form 26 of April till the 4th of May together with my students we went on a trip to Scotland. The picturesque landscapes of Highlands, the colour of the water in Loch Ness and the magic of the Mediaeval castles cannot be described with words only.
W drodze do domu udało nam się zahaczyć o jedyny w swoim rodzaju targ kwiatów w Amsterdamie.
On our way home we had a stopover at one of its kind flower market in Amsterdam
